In October 2017, we came together and raised over $2,000 for the Windsor Humane Society by hosting a Spin-a-Thon in Windsor, ON.

The Windsor / Essex County Humane Society is a safe refuge offering rescue and relief for animals in need – providing compassionate care, treatment and rehabilitation. Reuniting lost animals with their families, adopting animals into forever homes and offering them a second chance at life. They are leaders in the community working with others to eliminate all forms of animal suffering caused by overpopulation, neglect, ignorance, and abuse.

On October 1st, nearly 85,000 people came together in communities across Canada to make a promise to change the future of breast cancer for our sisters, our mothers, our daughters and our daughters‘ daughters. Thanks to the Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure, an estimated $17 million to invest in ground-breaking breast cancer research, such as improving screening technology, developing new and targeted treatments, and discovering how to reduce the rate of recurrence, was raised.

“Sometimes along the way, we must learn that there is nothing greater than to do something for others” - Martin Luther King Jr.

For the past 3 Christmases, we have held a by-donation bootcamp to raise supplies and gifts for the women and children residing at Hiatus House.

Hiatus House is a social service agency offering confidential intervention for families experiencing domestic violence. Plenty of people around you right now, friends, family or work colleagues have spent nights, weeks, even Christmases here in order to seek refuge from domestic violence.

In the last 6 years, the Heart Breaker Event raised over $500,000 for the Cardiac, Stroke & Pulmonary Rehab Programs at Hotel-Dieu Grace Healthcare. This event is 100% organized by volunteers, and all the money raised has stayed local and has benefited hundreds of participants attending these programs each year. Their fundraising goal is $100,000 this year and they are counting on our support!

On Saturday May 25, 2019 take the Challenge and make a difference with Shred Shop for the 2nd year in a row! Visit the Heart Breaker website for more information and to register under Team Shred Shop.
